many meals

The Many Meals project is designed to support children from impoverished and vulnerable families by ensuring they have access to quality education and providing them with a monthly food hamper. Furthermore, the project also generates income for a community member who assists with its administration.

By contributing a monthly donation of R350 (approximately 27 USD), each child will receive a food hamper containing essential staples, as well as fruits and vegetables. Additionally, hygiene products such as soap and toothpaste are periodically included. Through regular check-ups of the children and maintaining close communication with local schools, Rural Reach is able to provide support and assistance as needed, ensuring that the children do not slip through the cracks.

people with promise

Rural Reach supports individuals who possess the determination and ambition to achieve financial independence but lack the resources to pursue available opportunities. These individuals often face obstacles beyond their control, such as lacking transportation for interviews, not owning a computer necessary for online university applications, or simply lacking access to information due to the remoteness of their location.
Rural Reach facilitates and promotes practical measures that can pave the way towards financial independence for these individuals. Whether it involves drafting and enhancing a CV or aiding in university and bursary application procedures, Rural Reach is committed to each individual’s success and is prepared to offer whatever assistance is necessary.

offering support and educational resources to young mothers.

care centre

The Care Centre marks a recent and exciting addition to Rural Reach’s initiatives. Focused on assisting young mothers and their children, the centre is still evolving to maximize its potential.
Currently, the centre serves as the operational hub for our Many Meals and People with Promise projects.
Looking ahead, we aim to establish a daycare service for the children of high school mothers. Rural Reach plans to offer free daycare on the condition that the mothers remain enrolled in school and complete grade 12. As part of this initiative, teenage mothers will have access to the care center and its facilities to complete their schoolwork in a safe environment.
This project not only guarantees that the babies receive proper care and affection but also offers a pathway for the mothers to continue their academic pursuits and achieve financial independence.
